The AA impact: career placement officers say bans on affirmative action won't impact admissions. The message: don't be dissuaded from applying

Article Abstract:

More than 80% of college career services officers polled do not think that banning affirmative action will change the number of minority students enrolled at US colleges, especially at schools that have a large Hispanic student body. Six percent felt that minority enrollments would increase.

Bar president defends affirmative action

Hispanic National Bar Association president Hugo Chaviano appealed to Corporate America to withhold financial donations to colleges and universities that have eliminated affirmative action programs. Chaviano called the universities' move as an injustice and indignity.
