The case of a lifetime: A victory for affirmative action puts attorney Brigida Benitez in the winner's circle

Article Abstract:

Attorney, Brigida 'Bridget' Benitiz, who is a partner at the law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr In Washington, D.C. was selected as the Hispanic business magazine's 2005 Woman of the Year for her accomplishments and her contribution for the progress of the Hispanic community. Brigada Benitiz was responsible for winning a pair of cases for the University of Michigan admissions office and has also been involved in politically charged cases as well as conducting internal investigations for Fortune 500 companies.

Googling success: Miriam Rivera runs a legal practice focused on revenue-generating deals for the Internet's best-known search engine

Miriam Rivera has her own culture that has combined legal and business skills, technical knowledge, and a team approach to problem solving for producing one of the most successful corporations in history. Rivera, vice-president and deputy general counsel at Google, states that it is an exciting company where she works with about 160 lawyers who are really talented people, but what makes it hard for her is the incredible amount of work and the time away from the family every day.
