Family stress during the Czech transformation

Article Abstract:

There is evidence that economic pressure arising during the transition to democracy in the Czech Republic sparked off a family stress process that led to greater marital instability among both husbands and wives. Family interactions seem to intervene between economic stress and family outcomes.

The Family Unpredictability Scale: reliability and validity

Article Abstract:

Lack of consistency in a family's behaviours and regulatory systems is linked with reduced family health. Family unpredictability also seems to be linked with unhealthy individual functioning. There are no links between overall family unpredictability and income or occupational status.
