Business Cycles
Article Abstract:
A review of business cycle theories is presented. Economists have studied both long-wave and short-wave cycles. Controversy surrounds all theories. It is now thought that the short waves fit into the long waves. The long-wave theories of Nicolai Kondratieff have gained fairly wide acceptance. Managers must have flexibility for the future. It is not enough to perpetuate the past. Groundwork must be laid for a compatible future with a long wave of capital creation and technological infrastructure.

A plan for creating a sun-filled guest room out of a dark attic space is presented. Light colors added a spacious look and second-hand furnishings made the project economical.
