Helping out the kids: expectations about parental support in young adulthood

Article Abstract:

Research presented concerns the social aspects of parental support to young adults, focusing on the financial difficulties that face young adults and how mothers and children respond to them. Findings suggest that mothers and children have different expectations about support, with a lower proportion of mothers expecting to provide support than their children expect of them.
