Long term outcomes to family caregiver empowerment

Article Abstract:

The significance of the involvement of caregivers in the treatment of children and adolescents is generally acknowledged. The link between caregivers and professionals and the empowerment of caregivers and parent-professional partnerships are considered critical in mental health services. A logic model was developed to investigate how to strengthen empowerment and to test if improving empowerment leads to more caregiver involvement or more positive outcomes for the child.
