Maltreated children's emotional and behavioral problems: do teachers and parents see the same things?

Article Abstract:

This article examines the differences between teacher/therapist and parent/caregiver perceptions of abused children's behavior problems. Thirty-three preschoolers, who have been physically, sexually, or emotionally abused, with behavior problems were viewed differently by the parents/caregivers and the teachers/therapists, with one of the possible reasons being teachers/therapists and parent/caregivers have different expectations of the children.
