Observations of marital conflict and power: Relations with parenting in the triad

Article Abstract:

Parenting is examined in the context of triadic family interactions, using school-aged and multi-ethnic samples, employing a multidimensional assessment of marital quality. More similarities than differences in the two ethnic groups studied were found, suggesting that links among marital conflict, power and parenting behaviours are fairly consistent throughout families from European and Hispanic cultural backgrounds. However some ethnic differences were found.
