Issues relating to the development of young girls and boys are presented, with particular focus on the ways in which their gender role evolves. The child's environment is a major influence on gender identity, with infants receiving continual feedback relating to their sex.

Picky eaters

Toddlers often sharply change from good eaters to picky eaters as they learn to discriminate among flavors. Ways to avoid getting rejection out of every new food include sneaking new foods in/among favored meals, and offering a special bite from a parent's plate.
