Four products available in the UK provide information to drivers about traffic congestion ahead. All of these products use data obtained from sensors operated by Trafficmaster. Trafficmaster plans to extend its network of sensors from motorways to major trunk roads from Apr 1999. The Cellnet Traffic Line and the RAC Traffic Alert 1210 use a system of lights to give warnings of traffic congestion ahead. The user needs a mobile phone connection for more detailed information. The Trafficmaster Freeway uses a voice to provide traffic information. The Trafficmaster YQ uses a map on a screen.

Accident or fraud?
Article Abstract:
More states are requiring insurers to guard against false or fraudulent claims in all areas, as a result of increasing auto insurance fraud. Insurers such as CIGNA will investigate if questions are not answered satisfactorily or if a claim is suspicious.
