Two case studies of community schools serving Latino and Southeast Asian children

Article Abstract:

This article provides an evaluation of two community schools that offer educational and non-educational services to the students and families. The schools are centered in low income Latino and Southeast Asian communities, and the authors maintain the support the student and families receive help them surpass poverty and manage their lives efficiently.

Young offenders with disabilities: legal requirements and reform considerations

Article Abstract:

A large number of juvenile offenders have a disability. The juvenile correctional system is required by federal law to meet such delinquents' special education needs, offering such practices as positive peer culture, aftercare programs, and aggression replacement training.
