Article Abstract:

A diary of the couture shows of Paris fashion week January 2001 is presented. The shows of high profile fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior and Versace are an eclectic mix of styles and influence, attended by an equally varied selection of celebrities. Designers have drawn inspiration from styles of both past and present.
