The scalloped hem: make hemlines the center of attention with this delightful couture finish

Article Abstract:

Scallops may be used to add graceful finishes to special garments. Fabrics such a wool crepe, cotton, and linen are good choices to use because they curve smoothly with well-defined edges along the apex of two scallops. After approximating the size and placement of the scallops, a template should be made for easy marking. Instructions are given for facings, and completing the garments.
