The Wine Spectator magazine's annual Restaurant Awards are presented detailing those restaurants which have good wine-lists. The winners of the Grand Award in 2001 and the honor roll of such winners are described.

First-rate second growth: often overlooked by wine lovers, St.-Julien produces distinctive wines worth aging

Article Abstract:

St.-Julien, in Medoc, has produced wines that have withstood the test of time, such as an 1867 Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou second growth. Tasting notes are provided and wines are rated on a scale of one to 100 from such domains as Chateau Leoville-Las Cases and others.
