Fred and Juelle Fisher built their own winery after purchasing 100 acres of land in Sonoma County, CA, in 1973. In 2001 Fisher Vineyards is producing five quality wines and they are trying to improve their Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine industry is still looking in 2001 for the perfect stopper that will protect the wine while it ages without tainting. Cork has been used for centuries, but has problems and more synthetic alternatives are being used.
