Four categories of new French wines are reviewed: Bordeaux Red, Champagne, Chardonnay and Sparkling. Prices range from $6 to $120. Information provided about most of the wines include the year they become most drinkable and the number of cases made.

Rhone reds, Rhone whites and rose wines of France are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes provided for each. A 1990 Paul Jaboulet Aine Vacqueyras at $14 is rated 90, and a 1994 E. Guigal Condrieu La Doriane at $50 is rated 89.
