JAPAN: MITSUBISHI TO IMPORT OCEAN SPRAY

Article Abstract:

Mitsubishi, which already has a drinks sales network from its imports of Orangina, Perrier, Gilbey's Gin and vodka, and Volvic, has started importing Ocean Spray cranberry juice and a mixed cranberry and apple drink from the United States. They come in 946 ml and 295 ml glass bottles. Mitsubishi is targeting supermarket and department sales routes as well as food service, and liquor sales channels where the juice drinks are to be used as cocktail mixers.

Article Abstract:

For the food service industry, Snow Brand Milk Products has introduced soft-textured cheese-flavoured fillings, packed in a squeeze bag with an angled tip so that the filling can be squeezed out in decorative shapes. This product has a 90-day shelf life and retains its shape under heat. It comes in Cheddar and Camembert varieties, which provide the aroma and flavour of the cheeses.
