Lamberto Frescobaldi: California catalyst in Tuscany

Article Abstract:

Frescobaldi is a scion of noble Italian family that is making wine from about seven centuries and his official title with his family wine firm is that of director of enology and viticulture. He believed that the organizational skills and wine making methodology could be applied to all his families wine making concerns that includes 2,400 acres of vineyards in the most prime wine-producing areas in Tuscany.

Tuscany's exciting new '98 and '99 reds

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the high quality of the red wines produced by vintners in Tuscany, Italy, in 1998 and 1999. The quality of these wines is compared with the vintage from 1997. A list of recommended wines is included.
