More votes for 1989 Bordeaux

Article Abstract:

A recent blind tasting of 1990 and 1989 Bordeaux confirmed that '89 is the superior vintage, despite controversy claiming otherwise. The '89 is tighter, more powerful, richer and more complex. However, the highest scoring wine in the tasting was from 1990, scoring averaging a score of 99.1 on the 100-point scale.

Drinking Bordeaux from a breakthrough year

Article Abstract:

The 1985 Bordeaux vintage is excellent. The Lynch-Bages, Le Pin, Lafite Rothschild, Margaux Le Gay and Haut-Brion are among the finest wines of the vintage, and several others from St.-Emilion and Pomerol are also very good. Less expensive wines are also recommended.
