Next of Zin: brother-sister team makes an amazing debut at Turley cellars

Article Abstract:

Emergency room physician Larry Turley and his winemaker sister, Helen, are creating excellent wines. The California vintners have old vines and make Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Sauvignon Blanc. Helen Turley is also the proprietor of Marcassin, where she makes an excellent Chardonnay.

Cabernet leads Jackson to Napa

Article Abstract:

Jackson, whose winery is Kendall-Jackson, is looking to Napa for grapes for the great Cabernet he wants to make. He hired new winemakers and bought new vineyards, including Oakville and Rutherford Cabernet. Wine lovers can expect some distinctive wines in the future.
