Piedmont's high tide of quality

Article Abstract:

A historic sequence of outstanding vintages from 1996 to 2001 has resulted in an unprecedented huge amount of exceptional quality Piedmont red wines, especially from the Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards. The high quality Nebbiolos, which include the 2000 Domenico Clerico Barolo Percristina and the 2000 Barolos Aldo Conterno Granbussia Riserva, ensure a pleasant challenge of choosing the perfect bottle of Piedmont wine from a variety of outstanding ones.

Love the 2000 Bordeaux

Article Abstract:

Twenty-two of the top Bordeaux red wines from the two thousand vintage were tested in London's Vintners Hall. Farr Vintners, one of the biggest traders of fine Bordeaux in the world and the organizer of the event, has billed the two thousand vintage as 'the greatest ever'.
