The sunny beach town of San Diego, also the second-largest city in California, is emerging as a wining and dining destination due to extensive renovations in its downtown area, thus resulting in the city's changed wine-savvy atmosphere. Details of hotels in San Diego including Hotel del Coronado, Paradise Point Resort & Spa and The U.S. Grant, restaurants like Jsix, Molly's Restaurant and Osetra the Fishhouse, and wine bars like Sogno DiVino and 3rd Corner Wine Shop & Bistro are provided.

California Merlot struggles

Article Abstract:

The Lewis Napa Valley and the Pride Claret Reserve Sonoma-Napa Counties are the two top-scoring wines of the year 2003. The 2003 Merlot collection was not very impressive due to the turbulent weather conditions, and the Merlot being a very difficult grape to grow because of its thin skin was damaged, though luckily for the fans.

La Jolla's destiny, a charming beach colony blossomed into one of Southern California's most exclusive communities, a destination for travelers and is a best place for food and wine. Further, a mention of the wine-savvy restaurants and posh hotels that tempt the visitors to La Jolla are made.
