The General of Pauillac

Article Abstract:

The transformation of Chateau Pichon-Longueville-Lalande into one of Bordeaux's best wine estates by disciplinarian and perfectionist May-Elaine de Lencquesaing is reported. Details of the historical evolution of the estate from bad times during the world wars to the pinnacle of perfection it attained under the expert hands of the owner who is called by her peers as 'La Generale', are presented.

Touring Chateauneuf

Article Abstract:

Wine tourism, in addition to enchanting restaurants and history, is enjoyable and productive in the charming town of Chateauneuf-du-Pape located 60 miles north of Marseille and the appellation surrounding it. The restaurants list wines ranging from the traditional blends of almost 13 grapes to the modern versions like Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault.
