The Veneto region is beginning to produce some high-quality Valpolicella, Bardolino and Soave wines. Several vintners are profiled, a glossary of Italian wine terms is provided, and numerous wines of the region are rated on a scale of one to 100.

White Burgundy heaven: a vertical Montrachet tasting shows why the wines are so sought-after

Article Abstract:

Montrachet wines are delicious and somewhat rare. Wines from 1965 to 1992 were rated on a scale of one to 100. Wines tasted were Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Montrachet and Ramonet Montrachet. A $650 1978 Ramonet Montrachet was rated 96.
