Many men who collect wine keep a secret wine storage area. The phenomenon seems to be limited to men who are often married. Men may want to spend more on wine than their spouses would like. Often the caches are not discovered until divorce proceedings.

This just in! Women collect wine

Article Abstract:

Few women seem to collect wine, or at least readers seldom hear of women wine collectors. One collector wrote to a journalist and described her collecting style. The journalist then consulted a psychiatrist to inquire about whether it was normal.
