Cigar master: Lucrecia Valdez

Lucrecia Valdez is the master roller at the Tabacalera de Garcia in La Romana, Dominican Republic. After nineteen years of experience in cigar making, she feels she has achieved a lot. At present, she travels as an ambassador for cigars, appearing in trade shows and smoke shops.

Article Abstract:

The Home Kitchen at New York, NY's Waldorf-Astoria served guests such as Herbert Hoover and Mrs. Douglas MacArthur old-fashioned Southern home cooking until it closed in the 1950s. The hotel's room service menu still contains some items developed at the Home Kitchen.
