Article Abstract:

A series of recipes is presented for fanciful party foods for a party of 16 people. The recipes, which range from giant cakes to tiny nibbles, include jam-filled playing card cookies, chocolate ganache cake, vodka-spiked cherry tomatoes with pepper salt, and meringue kisses with passion-fruit fool.

An American gathering

The meal at Thanksgiving is uniquely American, which can also be adapted to encompass changes within the population. A menu and recipes are presented which includes traditional roast turkey, but also has rutabagas instead of yams, and grissini in the corn bread basket.
