Greenmarket, the network of farmers markets all over New York is probably the only place where the average New Yorker can hope to get farm-fresh produce especially at the Union Square Greenmarket that began operations in 1976. The market, which operates four-days in a week stocks some of the most delectable and extensive food items.

The creaming method in cake making usually requires softened butter to be beaten with sugar until light and fluffy. The interpretation of this direction is rather subjective with the extent of beating affecting the rising process. This is illustrated in the cooking of an almond cornmeal cake.
