Effective risk management: a goal based approach
Article Abstract:
The Dept of Defense (DoD) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have experienced several challenges in implementing and incorporating risk management strategies in their organizations. The risk equation, which is currently being used by both agencies, can be modified to minimize operational risks. A decision theory for abatement prioritization has been proposed. This entails the necessary development of standard practices for risk characterization and risk abatement prioritization.
