The lemon trail

Article Abstract:

Lemonade is said to have been invented in Mongolia in the 13th century. The fruit was brought to the New World by Christopher Columbus in 1493. It was the Spaniards who planted the first trees in St. Augustine, FL, in 1565, the source of the lemons that are found in California.

The US had 536 brew-pubs as of Mar 1996, and many serve delicious beers and good pub food. Triple Rock Brewery in Berkeley, CA, has been in business for more than a decade. Goose Island Brewing Co in Chicago, IL, and other brew pubs are described.
