Article Abstract:
Asa Hutchinson, Undersecretary for Border and Transportation Security (BTS) in the United States, describes the challenges of border security and immigration issues in the post-September 11, 2001 era. Hutchinson feels that BTS is successful in the border security, both in terms of illegal immigrants and the illegal goods that might come across, as it is improving its capabilities and systems, reducing threats and identifying and mending the border vulnerabilities.

A new historic finding might disproveChristopher Columbus's claim as America's discoverer. The Vikings, led by Leif Ericson, may have been the first Europeans to set foot in North America as indicated by settlements in Newfoundland. These events occurred 500 years before Columbus' famed voyage.
