Article Abstract:

In Touch is a veterans support group that helps children of Vietnam veterans deal with the pain of their loss. The group establishes networks for children of Vietnam veterans and assists them in contacting surviving veterans. The group hopes that the links will help the children learn more about their parents.

The intelligence gathering ship, the USS Liberty, was attacked by Israeli ships and aircraft on June 8, 1967. The expected air support from a nearby carrier, the Saratoga, did not materialize due to a recall order by Robert McNamara.
