Civil War scouts

Article Abstract:

Civil War battles, like the Battle of Cedar Creek in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, have become popular subjects for reenactments because they serve as a means of paying respect for those who lost their lives during them. Boy scouts that take part in the reenactments can learn many skills.

Scouts in Norway participate in all types of cold-weather activities like skiing, mountain climbing, hiking on ice fields and camping is snow caves. Cold weather is a way of life in Norway because the country lays so far north, as much as three-fourths of the land is unsuitable for farming.
