Article Abstract:

A remnant of cold-war politics is evident in the insinuations that terrorist hijacker Mohamed Atta was a homosexual. Common practice during the height of cold-war communist paranoia was to discredit communist sympathizers by portraying them as weak, feminine personalities, easily dominated by women in their lives.

Article Abstract:

Much of the black on black violence in South Africa occurs in the hostels built for migratory working men. Among the causes of the hatred are ideological clashes, political rivalry, tribal conflicts and poverty.
