Clueless: being a crossword puzzle editor is sometimes having to say you're sorry. But not too often

The editor of a prominent daily crossword puzzle describes some of his mistakes in writing clues due to inaccuracies. In the past year, in which more than 32,000 clues were written, only 18 were incorrect, though some puzzle solvers have been convinced of other inaccuracies that were correct.

War correspondents relate their personal experiences of aerial bombardment in conflicts ranging from World War II and Vietnam to Kosovo and Iraq. The ethical problems posed by aerial warfare, which produces a high civilian casualty rate, are examined.
