The word health shares the Indo-European root with heal, whole and holy. As a concept concretized, its smallest unit is the community which includes all that it consists, from the inanimate elements of the environment to all that live in that environment. The health of a community then depends on its wholeness and healing is a community effort. Holiness is then attained.
