Literary criticism: the new Nobel laureate on his highly contentious relationship to the ways of Islam

Article Abstract:

The 2001 Nobel laureate for literature, V.S. Naipaul, has written much about Islam, and his writings have been criticized by Muslims. He believes the Sep 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were motivated by religious hatred.
