Pedestrian power

Article Abstract:

Americans as a rule have always preferred using the car instead of walking, even if it means walking a couple of blocks to the corner store but walking is an activity that has its own benefits. Restoring the American spirit

Article Abstract:

The seminar presented by the City University of New York Graduate discusses about restoring the American spirit after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. There seems to be a resentment against the Bush administration for quashing the deeply ingrained American optimism as citizens no longer feel motivated and are experiencing civic exhaustion.
