Rebirth of a nation

Article Abstract:

Millions of Afghans have returned home from the refugee camps and began a new life, after the end of Taliban repression in November 2001. Certain achievements were detailed such as school enrollments for girls has increased for the first time after decades, agriculture output has doubled, and more than $8 billion in international aid has been pledged for accelerated reconstruction.

The time when US president Bush declared an end to major hostilities, many US and foreign soldiers, civilians and Iraqis died in Iraq but Iraqi's feel life for them is rather far better than it was during Sadam's rule. US soldiers and Iraqis struggle to help Iraq to be reborn as a modern, free and democratic state, which can cost them their lives.
