Seconds to save Emily: they could never stop the 6200-ton train in time

Article Abstract:

Mohr saved the life of Marshall by kicking her clear off the train's path. The child wandered to the railroad tracks while her mother was gardening. The train could not stop in time despite Lindley's application of emergency breaks. Mohr successfully kicked the toddler out of the way.

Jamel's way out

Jamel Oeser-Sweat was a typical inner-city youth. Unlike many of his peers, Jamel decided that education was his way out of the ghetto. He recently attracted national fame when he discovered a way to kill bacteria in loofah.
