Sitcom spirituals: American churches are finding inspiration for their Bible study groups from an unexpected source: TV sitcoms

Article Abstract:

Churches are using old and newer television programs to teach people about morality and family values, and the shows include 'The Andy Griffith Show,' 'The Simpsons,' and 'The Beverly Hillbillies.' Critics of the teaching method say that using the television shows to teach spirituality show how bankrupt people's inner spiritual lives are.
