Tribal wars: old ethnic rivalries are back, again threatening world peace

Article Abstract:

Armed conflicts resulting from ethnic animosities are once again occurring throughout the globe and threatening world peace. Historically, such conflicts have been the most violent. Left unchecked, these armed rivalries may yet lead to another world war.

911: a system calling for help

Article Abstract:

The US 911 rescue system is not as reliable as perceived. Many errors and delays are due to undertraining, understaffing or outdated equipment, but a great majority of calls are non-emergency or prank calls, which puts a huge burden on the system.

Women play an important role in the US military, taking on many task which were once restricted to men. Nursing was the first role taken by women in the forces, with over 400,000 serving in military zones, such as Pearl Harbor.
