Two babies, one heart, one chance

Article Abstract:

When Sandra Soto was told that she was pregnant with Siamese twins who shared a heart, Dr Steve Fishman at the Children's Hospital Boston informed Soto and her husband Ramon that he would be able to separate the children, but that probably only one child would be able to survive because there was only one heart. Examination revealed a situation that might kill both children, but one twin died immediately after birth, and the medical team saved the other twin.
