VA's budget bust of 2005

Article Abstract:

House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Steve Buyer, R-Ind discusses about his hearing last summer of 2005 which will take on the VA's most elusive problems, that is its health-care budget process other issues related to VA. Buyer state that the fast increasing population of veterans makes is difficult to forecast the health care budget needs, which in turn led him to come up with the VA's health-care budget model.

Forgiven trespasses: Illegal aliens from around the world expose America's vulnerabilities

Article Abstract:

America's illegal immigrant population more than doubled in the last decade of the 20th century with the United States Census Bureau's estimation on the illegal-immigrant population to be between 8 to 12 million. Even though no country other than America welcomes immigrants from all over the world, illegal immigration could be a deadly risk for the country.

Long-term care: 'Not a short-term challenge'

Article Abstract:

The problems faced by the Veterans Administration, also known as the Department of Veterans Affairs in providing nursing home care for the elderly people in the US are discussed. The budgets allocated for the long-term care for veterans and the veterans eligible for VA long-term care are also discussed.
