Volcanoes have decimated populations in the past and are still dangerous. The 1,500 active volcanos are found everywhere, including the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii and North America. Geologists predict that in the near future, a volcanic eruption will occur that will dwarf Pinatuba and Mt. St. Helens.
