Jerusalem's claim to being the Jewish spiritual center is easily disproved since all the religiously significant events the past 1000 years took place outside its walls. Today's Jerusalem is not the hub of Israel's creativity; Tel Aviv is. On the other hand, all these are the lamentations of an old and jealous lover.
