Being gay

Article Abstract:

The tensions between minority and universal logics, between gay and queer, between identity and non-identity, between assimilation and transgression, and between discipline and freedom are elucidated. The demise of being gay is a premature announcement, but the dynamic character of identity ensures that becoming gay will remain a more accurate description of the experience of identity in future.

Captives no longer, but servants still? Contract parliamentarism and the new minority governance in Sweden and New Zealand

Article Abstract:

Contract parliamentarism, or a contract minority government is one in which the cabinet has an explicit written contract with one or more parties that remain outside the cabinet. A study argues for the institutionalization of contract parliamentarism and examines why New Zealand and Sweden have minority governments existing by virtue of having written contracts with opposition parties.
