Cost heterogeneity and the potential savings from market-based policies

Article Abstract:

In the effort to aid policy makers and analyst in determining market-based instruments that reduce cost, simple formulae are developed. These formulae can be used to predict cost savings and improve understanding of cost heterogeneity, its importance and policy implications.

Using revealed preferences to infer environmental benefits: evidence from recreational fishing licenses

A study indicating the economic benefits from an environmental amenity is presented. The study is based on the demand for state fishing licenses for recreational fishing.
