Article Abstract:
An overview is provided of the current state of the careers of the seven up-and-coming politicians who were featured on the November 1987 cover of "California Journal." Of the original "seven-ups," six now have minor political roles or have bowed out of politics altogether, and Gaddi Vasquez has been nominated by US President George W. Bush as the new director of the Peace Corps.
