Bill Jones is considered by the Republicans as the best shot to defeat the serving Democratic, Barbara Boxer for the U.S. Senate. Even though, Bill Jones had the support of George Bush and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, his victory was considered to be doubtful.

John Kerry's win as CaliforniaEs Democratic presidential primary with nearly two-thirds of the vote is highlighted. Kerry's victory emphasized the understanding that he represented a consensus candidate for Democrats in the presidential election.

Article Abstract:

The wind of the presidential election campaign of U.S. 2004 has not affected California. This is because John Kerry, a democrat of Massachusetts and George W. Bush, a republican of Texas feels that election campaigning is of no use in California.
